Snow isn't made, they re ice crystals in a cloud that just reach the ground when the temps and dynamics are favorable.

when the clouds get dense enough it rains, and then if it is cold enough the rain crystalizes and comes down as snow.

................ clouds are made up of water vapors .......... and they get very cool and form ice crystals ............ and when the clouds get saturated with water it sheds these crystals to ground ....... in case the temperature is higher at lower levels ........ ice crystals melt and it is called rain .......... however if the temperature is low .... the crystal remain in the same form .............. and we call it snow fall .....
