The first day of the Perth Test was a step in the right direction. To dismiss Australia for less than 250 was a very good performance. The second day is absolutely crucial. if England fold as they did on the 5th Day in Adelaide and Australia get a lead then the momentum will be with the Aussies and you can expect them to push on hard for a win and an unbeatable 3-0 lead. However if England can somehow conjure up a lead of (say) 150 then they have a good chance of winning and going on to the MCG 1-2 down. The pride would have been well restored and who knows what might happen in the final two tests.

Fingers Crossed !!

Not very likely now they have lost the first two tests but they did look good yesterday morning. Don't get excited yet though because when Australia loses like that the opposition quite often does even worse in their first innings. Lets face it England has already lost 2, and it could have been 3 in 17 overs. Good luck but I'll still say Aus. in this one.

As it stands now, possibility of England winning the ashes series is out of question. If England manages to win one or two tests
they can atleast redeem some of their lost prestige.

After today's showing maybe, as long as they pick the right players and Harmisons recovery is not just a flash in the pan.
