when i say northerners i mean ( Newcastle, Man U, Liverpool, everton etc.)

id say Northeners. I am a Southerner and am astonished that a team that hasnt won anything for so many years (Newcastle) can still attract gates of over 50,000. Southern teams cannot get that kind of loyal fan base and we are really fickle down here. Northerners are much more loyal and the atmosphere inside St. James' Park for example is electric whereas at The Emirates it is static. by the way, i am a Spurs fan

It's about the same ,whatever people from the North will have you believe .Can anyone really say West Ham fans have less interest in there team than supporters of Man City .
Also Spurs just pulled in 35000 for a Thurdsay night Uefa cup match even though they had already qualified ,last year Middlesborough were playing there home games in a stadium that was 2/3 empty .
What abot the fans of teams like Wolves ,Brum and WBA ,they have had very little to shout about in the last few years but the fans still turn up..
No region has a bigger claim to loyalty to there team than anyone else

Northerners definitely, apparently Newcastle fans are the most travelled each season than any other team in the premiership, although their travels are a bit more dissappointing this season, seems we cannot win anything at the moment.
