Do you suck in and measure tight, let your belly go without sucking in and measure loosly, or tight.... or how exactly? I know its right under the rib cage.

I'm 18, and my measurements are 33-27-35 114lbs 5'3... It just seems like i have a thick waist , maybe I didn't measure right or something.

You stand upright (straight) and relaxed; you do NOT suck in your stomach - this will give you a false measurement. You measure your waist at about where your pants (such as sweats) would ride - assuming you're not one of those people who wears pants cut so low you can get a clear view of their @$$-crack. Just above the hip-bones (on the side between the bottom of the rib cage and the top of the hip) is the best place to measure. You'll probably find that this region corresponds to your navel (belly button).

No, you don't suck in. And you don't measure loosely, either. You may have a thick waist considering your weight...but I doubt it. (You are really on the thin-side. So don't lose weight!)

Measure your waist by finding the top of your hip bones on both sides. Put the tape measure 1/2 inch above the hip bones. Relax your stomach. It's better to have someone measure for you. The tape measure shouldn't be tight, but it shouldn't be lose.
