I'm 22, and I'm F*cking sick of the music that's on MuchMusic and MTV these days! It's easy to chill listening to 60's, 70's, SOME 80's, and 90's tunes, but what's with the screaming emo crap? I know each generation wants to be different from the last, but come on! Have we really run out of ideas for good music? Beethoven, Mozart, Lennon, even Cobain are probably spinning in their graves right now!
Come on people! bring back good music! Hell, bring back MUSIC, period.

i say bring back good music as well, music that we can hear and understand rather than having to guess the lyrics to the song. music that doesn't call women b****** and h***. if music must be bought back, make sure it's something soothing and relaxing.

The problem is imagery. MTV cant sell good music. They sell the look. The music business has been plagued by this for a long time, and each generation has its own victims.

Hair Bands of the 80's- most of them didnt even play instruments, they used studio musicians on LP's and on tour. Cinderella is the first one that comes to mind, the drummer they had on their pictures, is not the drummer that plays on the LP's , nor is at the concerts. He was there for "looks".

The Monkee's, New Kids on the Block, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, all the boy bands of time passed, and the ones today, and in the future. Its all about "he /she is so cute/hot" etc. Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, remember Lita Ford?

As long as hormonal teens are willing to beg borrow or steal money to buy a CD , these types of flash in the pan acts, and no talents will always be a force to be reckon with.

The screaming type of music are the kids that want to be viewed as "dangerous" or "cool"..we have all been there. Just recognize it for what it is. A way for them to stand out from the rest of the crowd, and in their own little worlds, be "cool".

I accept it, because I am able to recognize it for what it is. A cry for attention.

You sound like my Dad 40 years ago when I used to blast what is now referred to as "Classic Rock". Forty years later, I am still listening to the same music and choose to forego the 'screaming' which is now available. Not all of today's music is bad. I have grown fond of some of it.

Amen to that! I do like some of the stuff that's out now, but yeah the majority of it is so unoriginal. So many bands sound exactly the same now.
