I totally agree with L.W.F, it would be a horrid gift to just replace something you broke, especially if you broke it when you were having a fight with her.
Listen guy, women need to know their men know them, have an understanding of their likes and dislikes, and who wish to make an effort to just maybe make her happy. The best gift a woman can receive is one from the heart. It doesn't have to be expensive; can even be hand made if you are clever with that sort of thing, or a song or poem you wrote, something to show your softer side. If you are unable to show a softer side to your wife, then who can you show it too? Women like to know we mean a lot to our men, and going out and making an effort to get us something maybe only he knows we would like is special. Buying a replacement CD is so not special, and in fact could damage your relationship.

nope, you should just buy her one. What a crap gift to get. I'd be like "wow.....something I already had-this is swell, I didn't need anything new or different." What a crap gift that would be. But....you do need to replace it. Tell her that you're sorry and you broke it and here is a replacement.
