IS hairspray as good as pepperspray?...do u hav proof?

If you're worried about a mugging/raping, you should always carry pepperspray. This stuff works better than anything else (including Mase). Pepperspray works on people who are drunk and/or on drugs where mase won't. Also, pepperspray doesn't have to be in the eyes to be effective. Hairspray anywhere but the eyes won't stop anyone from attacking you! ;)

Pepperspray will sting and burn the eyes if only shot close to the eyes, sometimes even if sprayed in the same room. Hairspray doesn't do that.

But in a pinch, and being attacked, I would use anything I could get my hands on.

if you are asking does hairspray work as well as pepperspray when it comes to spraying peoples eyes and not hair, then I seriously doubt it!! Pepperspray is very very strong. I dont think hairspray is really going to do the trick.......

hairspray may work in a manner similar to CS gas/pepper spray if sprayed directly into the eyes but CS gas doesn't need to be sprayed into the eyes to work and can also debilitate a group of potential attackers for a longer period if need be. Problem is though if you live in the UK CS gas/pepper spray is illegal even for self defence unless you are a serving Police Officer though there is an alternative available that contains no pepper or irritants but rather a sticky gooey red dye that coats the attackers whole face in seconds and even after weeks of scrubbing still leaves a UV dye residue that enables the Police to track and find them asap find it on the link below. However my female friend assures me that normal house/car keys can be a great self defence tool if held correctly and used to poke at the soft tissue areas of the face or neck! personally i would recommend taking up a self defence class and also though it may sound impractical a pocket full of either cayenne or Black ground pepper kept in the pocket and thrown in the face of any would be attacker is just as efficient as any pepper spray though it may lead to permanent blindness in the attacker turned victim. hope this helps you to protect yourself lol

I suspect that it would probably do the job quite well, considering that hairspray in ones' eyes hurts like the dickens. If all else fails, depress the nozzle on the can and light up a Zippo in front of the vapourised trail. FFFWOOF! Actually, you probably shouldn't try that Zippo trick; it's darned dangerous and might land you in the clink.

Depends on what you intend to do with it! You can make a cannon powered with hair spray - while you can temporarily blind someone with pepper spray. Why, you in the mood to start a war with your neighbors or something?
