Don't forget the charisma that was overshadowed by Diamond Dave. Eddie was a great showman, great songwriter, and the front of the biggest and baddest bad in the world. Too bad he let his ego and "nothing can touch me" attitude that led to his tongue cancer (due to smoking) and the hiring of Gary Cherrone. It has been over ten years since the last real studio album from Van Halen. That is shameful.
I got to meet Eddie during the last tour. You couldn't understand him very well because of the surgery, but he can still wail.

No, you are not the only one, nor are you the first. Eddie divorced his wife Valerie Bertinelli (who was quite a dish when she was young and on the TV show One Day a Time) after 25 years of marriage just one year ago --December 2005. He is now 51 years old, and she is 46. They were married in 1981, but separated in 2001. He still seems to have his hair, but has been battling alcoholism and mouth cancer.

I grew up listening to VH and still drool everytime I
catch a glimpse of him on MTV or VH1!
It was something about the hair and the eyes!!
