No you should not get sick pay. It was your choice to be dinking. I just hope you don't do this all the time and have a family to support.

I'm sure you could get sick pay, just say you had a stomach upset or something or one of those 24 hour bugs. Unless I am unable to move I always go into work when I have a hangover - I'd rather be getting paid for feeling rubbish rather than waste a day off sick, you never know when you might need it!

With some companies you have to be out of work for 3 days WITH a doctor's note in order to collect on sick pay. I have NEVER called in due to hangovers. It is not your boss's fault that you can't handle your alcohol. Be a responsible adult

If you have sick days. I`m sure they don`t care why you feel ill. Most companies will pay three days a year for sick days. a couple years ago i took my three days due to hangovers. stupid things to do, but hey what can you do> :)

Yes if you have sick days . When you got hired they should have told you about your benefits which included sick time, vacation time, and holidays. I wouldn't worry as most employers give sick days and you are allowed to take them as people do get sick!
When you do decide to indulge in alcohol make sure that you drink enough water to prevent a headache/hangover. Get some rest now & drink alot of fluids.

You can get sick pay if your company pays sick pay and if you lie and say you were really ill. You may have to fill out a form to say you were ill - most companies do not require a doctor's note for less than one weeks.

Well, it was your choice to drink so I don't think you should get sick pay. If it's a one-time thing and you feel really bad, well, we all make mistakes... call in sick and don't do it again ;-) But if you regularly drink too much, either deal with the headache or stop drinking. It's not fair to let your colleagues do the extra work and to let the boss/company pay you for your evening out.

Looks like you forgot to have some protein before you went to bed last night to keep your blood sugar level. Eat some protein this morning and drink lots of liquids. As for sick pay if your employer offers sick pay and you merely called in sick you will get paid. Next time be smarter when you drink...........drink less, eat something before going to bed or don't drink during the week.

You have no chance, cos you have to be off work for three days, to recive sick pay , unless your hangover last for a few days

it all depends if you qualify for sick pay . .some jobs only allow you to have so many days after being there for while other jobs don't offer it you should know if your work offers it or not make sure you say a stomach virus so they know you can't work under any circumstance.
