Well, I'd have to go with Batman. Superman is just impossible to beat. He's invulnerable, super-strong, super-fast, has all kinds of special visions, is a successful journalist, and is freaking virtually perfect.
Batman, on the other hand, is completely ******-up psychologically speaking, and has zero superpowers. He's the biggest bad-*** in comics just by sheer force of will and superior intellect. Sure, he's rich and all that crap, but so is Tony Stark and Oliver Queen and they sure are not as good as Bruce Wayne.
Note that, even though Superman is more powerful, many stories feature Batman kicking his *** (metaphorically) simply by being smarter.

Although Supe was my childhood favorite, because he can do Almost Everything, I now consider Batman better because he's a human who excelled through the power of the intellect.
Recall the scene in Superman Returns in which Supe takes on the guy with the machine gun. He walks up to the guy, taking all the gunfire, instead of running/flying at light speed and disable the gun. Then he takes a point-blank shot into the eye. I get it, he's proving a point, but let's get it over with. Worst of all, Supe always falls for Lex Luthor's "I've got Kryptonite" trick. Think about it: Lex is not a "super" enemy with special powers, just a guy who uses his brain.
Meanwhile, Batman trained to get his expert fighting technique and uses his brain to defeat his foes. In a sense, this is something we all can aspire to. To have Superman's powers, we'd have to be born on Krypton.
Batman wins on principle and in action.

Superman has superhuman powers that make him virtually indestructible.
Batman is human, and unlike Superman, can easily be killed by a bullet. He has to rely on his gadgets and intelligence to succeed.

Batman is better because he was a superhero that didn't have any powers but he managed to save people left and right. Also, it doesn't hurt to be a super rich playboy either.
