Yes they are! Try it! When I was a little kid, my grandmother slipped on a banana peel and broke her leg. So being the little genious I am, I decided to try it out for myself. I fell flat on my @$$. At least I didn't get hurt. The banana peel has to be on the floor with the outside of the peel facing upwards.

i seriously looked this up not too long ago, and there is no written record of anyone anywhere ever having slipped on a banana peel and actually fallen down.

no one has ever been hospitalised due to banana peel related injuries.
