I have had "morning sickness" for about a week now. I am really sick of crackers since that is all I have eaten for a week.

Any suggestions on other food that might not make me sick?

Thank you all VERY much.

I am having a popsicle now and it seams to be helping.

Thanks again for all the suggestions!

hasnt your doctor or midwife suggested that you take 25ml og b6 vitamin three times a day?

It seriously will nix that morning sickness in a week or so. You have to take it the same time each day, and even when you stop feeling sick.

It seriously saved my life, I couldnt even walk into the kitchen for weeks 8-13 of my pregnancy, until i started taking those.

You dont want to take them forever, and you want to make sure you're getting the other b vitamins in small doses (vitamin water works, or just your prenatal) because some studies show it can keep your body from metabolizing those if you dont take them as well. And you dont take it forever, just until about 12-16 weeks.

All studies show that it does not harm the baby in any way whatsoever. Mostly because is a naturally occuring vitamin, and you're taking just a little extra a day.

Ginger, lemon, mint... anything with these flavours in it will help ease your sickness. Also you should eat small bits of food at regular intervals through the day. Keep food in your stomach at all times that will help you to not feel sick as often. The reason you get morning sickness is that the acids in your stomach are intensified and you need to put something in there so that the acids are not just going crazy. It gives the acid something to digest.

I have bought some ginger & lemon herbal tea for myself. Have not started with morning sickness yet, but I have a feeling it's on it's way.

All the best!

One of the things that help sickness, whether it is morning sickness or just being sick for some other reason is ginger.
If you can, try to eat ginger snaps or something like that little and often. If you can't hold that down, you can buy ginger capsules from most health food stores. That should help.

I got sick of the crackers too!! haha.. so i tried cereal and granola bars which to me seemed a little more filling and stayed down. (i'm 14 wks now!!) I was unlucky and i would get that feeling of being sick but I didn't ever get sick!! and I still havent but try the granola and cereal bars they helped me with my hunger.. maybe they'll help you too..oh and DO NOT drink sodas or carbonated drinks, they make it that much worse!

If you are around a Motherhood Maternity store you could pick up some Preggie Pop Drops. They are a candy that reduces morning sickness. They worked for me!

well one thing the morning sickness will pass, they actually say the best way to stop the nausea is to eat I know that is probably the last thing you want to do but it is important and the reason for the morning sickness is because your hormones are doubling and tripling on a daily basis. you can eat tums I use to keep them everywhere. but do make sure you take those prenatal vitamins.

It's not very nutritious, but what worked better for me was plain pringles and 7-up. Watermelon helped. Orange Gatorade and plain cheerios. Rice cakes worked sometimes too. Peppermint tea and toast. If you are craving something in particular try that. Sometimes you crave what your body needs.

Good Luck and Congratulations!

I think everyone is different on what they can eat that doesn't make them sick. Trial and error lol. Try sucking on hard candy after you eat, I know that work a little for my friend. Good luck and congratualtions.

I would drink a couple of teaspoons of the liquid from a jar of olives. That worked miracles for me. Good luck.
