I thought the cheetah was the fastest, but I found a stamp that says the Pronghorn is the fastest land animal. Is that true?

The Pronghorn (Antilocapra americana) is the only surviving member of the family Antilocapridae, and the fastest mammal in North America running at speeds of 58 mph (90 km/h). The Pronghorn is also known as the Pronghorn antelope, but is not a true antelope. It is a unique animal with no close relatives. Both the males' and the females' horns are made up of a hairlike substance that grows around a bony core; the outer sheath is shed annually.

The Cheetah (derived from Sanskrit word Chitraka meaning "Speckled") (Acinonyx jubatus) is an atypical member of the cat family (Felidae) that hunts by speed rather than by stealth or pack tactics. It is the fastest of all land animals and can reach speeds of up to 70 mph (110 km/h) in short bursts up to 500 yards (460 m), as well as being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (~62 mph) in 3.5 seconds- faster than most supercars.

Compare the speeds I mentioned, you can see that CHEETAH IS THE FASTEST BUT ONLY FOR A SHORT DISTANCE.
for a large distance pronghorns can maintain their speeds for a long time.

A pronghorn antelope is a type of deer, and has a horn that sheds like an antler. The pronghorn is 2nd fastest sprinting land animal, but it's the quickest long-distance runner in the world. It can go 60 mph (top speed) for a LONG way.
