Not sure how to answr that because it has 2 ot 3 answers possible.. depending on what you are talking about.. someone having done a good deed for another....and in that case.. it would be a NOUN for "something that is carried oukt; an act or action"

In another sense is something that (again) is carried out but with a tremendous effort.. a tremendous task accomplished against many odds.. This is again.. a NOUN and refers to a usually praiseworthy act.... a feat or exploit of some kind.

The third type that I can think of is a VERB.. and it refers to TRANSFERRING title(for example) by means of a deed.... deeded property to the children upon my death.. etc.

A deed is nothing but a contract which is signed by people for different purpose. If needed, in future it also acts as a proof in the court of law

Whatever you think is your creed. Whatever you speek is your word and whatever you do is your deed.
In other sense it is an agreement. Instead of partnership agreement we use the word partnership deed.
