Make a lot of changes.
1.Work? Yes people would work for dreams or passion, but it wouldnt be to the point that you have to work just to cover bills.
Money would no longer be an issue in our civilization. We all need or want things, and for us to get them we shouldnt have to need something so pathetic as green paper.
2.Medicines. I would make it a rule for there to be instead of ten different companies, all which make a headache relief medicine, to put the companies together into one big one. Make it less competition, and more towards the main goal - to hopefully have a pill that can relieve you of your problem quickly and correctly.
3.transportation. Screw automobiles and the internal combustion engine! We can travel just as fast(maybe faster) and safer using magnetics! Instead of roads, there would be rails. Thus slowly overtime I would place rails where roads are. And help the planet a great deal.
4.technology. First step building on chips and robots.
second step: Chips that can go into a human and make them be more intelligent. Even if it was just temporary, if the chip can improve our brain use from average 9.3% to 15, then to 20, then up and up, we are making progress.
third step: I would probably be the first volunteer, but transfer my brain into a robotic body, that way I could not only live longer, but also go into space and survive the journey.

Stomp all Republicans into the mud, face first! Actually, I'd do all I could to ensure that everyone shared the bounty of the earth equally. No warlords, no private armies, no tax-evading mega-corporations, greed punished severely. Religion would not be allowed in government. Science would be fully funded. Every child would receive a first-class education. Health care would be universal. Global warming would be addressed seriously, being the severe threat that it is. And all that is just for starters...

I'd make it a crime to start a war. You either get along or you'd get shot. Everyone would work to improve the environment. I'd outlaw all gas powered vehicles except ambulances, fire department, etc. There would be universal free health care. I'd outlaw illegal street drugs. I'd have one universal sales tax that everyone would pay. No income taxes. People would continue to work, children would go to school. Elderly retirement facilities would be built next to grade schools so the elderly could teach the young and the young would learn to respect the elderly. I'd get rid of the United Nations since they don't do anything. Corprations wouldn't have CEOs that make anymore than a $100,000 a year. I'd still have prisons but they would be for violent crimes. Non-violent crimes wouldn't get prison time. Anyone killing someone would get executed themselves. I'd spend A LOT of money researching diseases and finding their cures.

I would make my friends the governors of certain areas and keep control with an iron (but fair) grip, I would take all of the worlds nuclear and chemical weapons and destroy them as there would be no need for them any more.
I would also reduce the worlds carbon usage.

I would also disclose all of the conspiracy theories around the world so that we would all be enlightened.

I would make it law that George bush and Tony Blaire would be made to apologize in person to all of the families of people whom have been lost to their lies!

I would first use my power to evoid any wars and then i would use t to benefit myself. Then i would begin to put most of my funds into education since i think education is the key source of a successful nation economically and miliatarily.
