31.2 grams per ounce weight but actual gold amount is 18/24 or 18 parts gold 6 parts alloy.

Use your noddle. Assuming the necklace is solid gold, it would have to be really thin for it to weigh a mere 6 grams. Remember that gold weighs 19.3 g/cc. Gold is measured in Troy ounces which are each around 31.1 grams. So if it weighed 6 oz that would be about 186.6 grams - a pretty heavy, thick necklace. Gold is worth $900 to $1,000 per oz these days - so get your calculator out.

Precious metals are weighed in troy ounces. One troy ounce is
31.1034768 grams.
Your necklace would weight 202.17 grams approximately.
18K gold is, of course, not pure gold, so if you want to estimate market value, you will have to make this conversion as well.

18K gold is 18/24 pure, or 75%. The necklace would contain
4,875 troy ounces of fine gold.

The troy ounce (troy oz) differs from the more common ounce (oz) used in the U.K. and U.S.A., being slightly heavier, with 1 troy oz = 1.097 oz.

So, divide 6.5 by 1.097
6.5 oz = 5.92525 Troy Oz
