I either go running, go to the gym or go to capoeira. Working out really makes me feel stress free.

The shower, if I want twenty minutes alone. If I want an entire day alone, I don't leave the house - my kids are grown and gone and my wife still works outside the home. When our kids were younger, I didn't take much time alone. The shower would be about it...

When I lived at home, I'd go hiking in the woods. You'd see people, but you'd never have to stop and talk.
In college I found a little fountain off to the side. I'd take a book, stick my feet in the water and hang out for hours.
Now, I'm living in a huge city and haven't found a place yet. Maybe a library.

I travel. I enjoy my drive home from work alone. I go to the YMCA to swim and am alone with my thoughts. This is a very good and healthy thing - being alone at times.

Once in awhile i will sit on our roof and meditate. I like to ride horses alone in the woods, Its very relaxing. When i am really mad and just want to be alone i go lay in the middle of the road. I know it sounds wierd but it makes me feel better.

I go inside myself...I take the time to reflect, think about what needs to be done, what needs to be changed or fixed. Once I determine that, I get it done. Time alone does not necessarily mean being with no one around, it could be an introspective.

Just take a drive and listen to music, or take the day and just spend it at home by yourself. Go for a walk, or stay the night by yourself in a hotel. You could also go and get a massage or go to a spa for the day.

I take a nice warm bath and relax, unless I am in the bath, my children and husband hound me, sometimes I just need to get away and the only room to do that is the bathroom.
Happy Holidays.
