A is true, but if you add too little water, the color of the litmus paper will be earase all, because SO2 is also a strong oxidant

According to what I know the action shown on Litmus paper is not Termed as BLEACHING.

anyways;
If water is present (litmus paper is moist) sulphurous acid i.e. H2SO3 is formed in situ hence color change would have occured to red.

Option A is correct.

You need damp litmus so the SO2 gives H2SO3 - sulphurous acid.
