No. That is the simple answer. It may seem only fair , as these students do well, but taking extra time off from school will likely lower their grades. A better use of the A and B students' time would be more challenging classwork.

I don't think so. I think that in many cases school is more than just going to class. It's a chance to learn valuable socialization skills that can't be taught by being sick. In theory, getting As and Bs should be their own reward. Plus, you never know what you're going to miss on those days that you've taken off school.

Education should also be a continuing process that is not limited to the walls of a school. But when you're in high school or younger, most of that learning occurs during school because it's with your peers that those lessons are learned.

I don't think this is a good idea. One of my kids makes all A's and B's and his brother resents him for that alone, can you imagine if he were to get extra days out of school too? It's not fair to the students who no matter how hard they try, can't quite make it to all A's and B's. Besides that, that would mean parents would have to have something set up for the kids who were out of school.

I think that sounds fair. Maybe if they did, that would encourage bad students to do better.

I don't think they should. It'll will only encourage those who consistantly get bad grades to stay off aswell.
