really sounds as though your overreacting, you should just listen to your doctor. but if it bothers you that much, lay off spanking the monkey for awhile and see if it goes back to normal(?)

When my wife masturbates my penis for extended periods of time, it gets deeply purple. I love it. It just means that it is filled with blood "to capacity" and that I am going to have a wonderful orgasm in the very near future. It's called a Blue Veiner and I would never want to lose that ability.

Well, I'm sorry, but "masturbating very hard" is certainly silly. Does it hurt afterwards? Then use a lubricant, doh! Otherwise, enjoy your relationship with your wife and forget about the color. It's an indication of a healthy member, except when it's a bruise from over-stimulation and not enough lubricant.

If the doctor says it's OK don't worry, but if you feel the doctor is wrong go see a Urologist.
Having a purple head is indeed a sign of a healthy member, so I wouldn't stress about it if I were you

My 2 year-old son has a purple ring around his too and at his last appointment his doctor said it was nothing to worry about.

Did you see a regular family physician or a urologist (specialist)? It could very well be bruising, but I would want to see a specialist just to be safe.
