I don't recall if they moved to another city or simply dissolved. They were both in the NHL in the 1970's. I know about the other moves but want to know what happened to these 2 teams.

The Barons moved to Jacksonville in 1973.

The Oakland Seals/California Golden Seals moved to Cleveland in 1975 and became the Barons for a while, then got merged into the Minnesota North Stars (who are now in Dallas.)

You "sort of" got the right answers but to clarify:

You are asking about the same team. The Seals (who played in both San Francisco and Oakland) were relocated to Cleveland, becoming the Barons. THAT team then ended up merging with the Minnesota North Stars (who are today the Dallas stars).

The "other" Barons must have been a minor league team. Jacksonville has never had an NHL team.

They dissolved. Very few of the expansion is left where it was. If you go to the 6 team expansion of '67 and look at who is around and in the same city the Penguins are proably about the only one. I have a feeling one of the other teams is still where it started as well but can't think of which one it would be.
OK guess it was only the two that were gone. Was thinking it was other teams that entered in '67.
