My favorites are A Christmas Carol (the one with Alistir Sim), A Christmas Story (narrated by Jean Shepherd), It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn (but not White Christmas), and Home Alone.

Movie: Donovan's Reef. Nobody believes me, but watch it through to the end--it's a Christmas movie! TV special: A Charlie Brown Christmas, by default. I'm so old, I saw it the first time it was on TV. I remember being vaguely disappointed, because most of it was re-used bits from the comic strip (I was a huge Peanuts fan). Now I just like to listen to the great score by Vince Guaraldi.

Well definitely It's a Wonderful Life! Also, there is an old movie called "The Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant, not the new version "The Preacher's wife", that is a weak remake. White Christmas with Bing Crosby, and Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwick. That should give you a day of Christmas cheer!

I wonder if we will get the same old greats that come out every year:
The King & I
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
an Only Fools & Horses Special
Sound of Music
A Bond film - always!!
A Christmas Carol - origional, musical and muppets!
Thanks goodness for DVD! ;-)
Still it wouldn't be Christmas without them all now would it.

A Christmas Story
It's A Wonderful Life
A Christmas Carol
And I agree with Chickadee- I love watching Mary Poppins. It has nothing to do with Christmas but they always play it. I've watched it both times they have shown it on ABC Family this week.
