"In a democracy, the commander in chief works for you. You hire him when you elect him. You watch him do the job. If he makes good decisions and serves your interests, you rehire him. If he doesn't, you fire him by voting for his opponent in the next election.
Not every country works this way. In some countries, the commander in chief builds a propaganda apparatus that equates him with the military and the nation. If you object that he's making bad decisions and disserving the national interest, you're accused of weakening the nation, undermining its security, sabotaging the commander in chief, and serving a foreign power—the very charges the party loyal level against Bush's critics.
Are you prepared to become one of those countries?"

Well, obviously he did a good job, because the American people re-hired him.

We can leave Iraq if necessary, but you and all other war dissenters should have to be the first ones over there after the next terrorist attack on US soil.

How would you like any of us to answer this? You're not REALLY asking a question but rather, you're making a political statement. If you'd actually wake up and smell the coffee, you'd perhaps realize just how il-founded your ideology is. But then, for you to have to actually face such a reality just isn't within your ability. Reality doesn't quite fit your paradigm so, you creat your own and accuse the rest us of being out of touch. You obviously watch and believe the liberal news and have no problem omitting cold, hard facts. Again, they don't fit your paradigm. When was the last time your news sources reported any of the good that we're doing in Iraq and Afghanistan? New Schools? New Power Plants? Sewage and Water Treatment Facilities? How about Hospitals? In both countries, we've got them ABOVE their prewar levels. No, your news sources are propagandizing in a most seditious and treasonist way and you are buying it hook, line and sinker. What you wish to avoid, you have already allowed this country to become.
Here's a REALLY BIG clue for you and your ilk. Immediately after the November elections, the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq and the "President" of Iran both commended you for having voted in the democrats. How does it feel to know that you have not only weakened a great nation, but have also aligned yourselves with terrorists? Don't worry. When it all comes back to roost, there will still be those of us in that marginal 30 % you spoke of that will save your butts once again.

I think they have a clear sense of the picture too.

Their goals in Washington might just be in line with his...is that so hard to believe???

But he hasn't been doing a good job with the Right-Wing Christian Agenda:
Abortion=still legal
Homosexual Marriage=not federally banned
Stem Cell Research=Ongoing
Middle East=a less-than-holyland mess, to say the least!
Immigration=uncontrolled

I think he might be working FOR his enemies, the democrats???

I think that the main reason he got elected and reelected is because he gives tax breaks to the rich and big corporations.
A lot of Bushies voted for him because they think that elections are personality contests and Bush does have a likable persona.
Read the other answers! You and I are a minority in this country, I'm scared of my own people!

Why can't irresponsible, immature people stop picking user-names for themselves that are disgusting, offensive, and deserving of being reported for adult language? Would you say your user-name out loud to a group of grade-school children? Why did you choose that user-name?

Blind partisanship? You describe our dire situation so succinctly. It appears our boy will be standing firm and other people's children will be staying the course in Iraq.
