I need ideas for 60s clothes.?

We R doing a part from hairspray. PLEASE HELP!! I really need some. I thought of capris, a tight sweater, and flats. Lavern and Shirley!

Bellbottoms if your going to go with the more casual late 60s/early 70s look. Not "flares." Flares dont have enough bell near the ankle. What i'd do is just get some old flared jeans and
cut them up the sides near the ankle. Get some cheap fabric
and fill in the sides you just cut to give them that major bell effect.
But, I think your going for the Lavern and Shirley thing... Yeah, i'd go with a tight sweater, particularly a tight one with a less tighter button up over it.

I agree with previous post that Lavern and shirley was more in the 50's era. Check out Bewitched TV series on the web. It was filmed in the 60's and represents the style in the mid to late sixties.

Thats a bit closer to the fifties. We wore short skirts, tight ones, dark stockings sneakers and our sweaters looked like t shirts, but only the tramps wore them tight. Rounded collars under v neck sweaters and circle pins. When we went steady we wore our guys heavy silver ID bracelet, or his ring on a chain. Our hair was teased into the Hairspray flip, with plenty of teasing and,yes hairspray. Lots of it. Our pants were narrow and full length and some were called hip huggers, being so short in the rise. We wore angel blouses that were sometimes banned in school because we might look pregnant. The Ann-Margaret-Elvis Presley films will give you plenty of ideas as to how teens dressed back then, and Leave it to Beaver and does a good job on adult wear. It was very formal compared to nowadays.
