I have a live xmas tree that I purchased the day after thanksgiving. The base is always full of water. But, now the branches are beginning to droop and they snap if you try to lift them. Is there a way to revive this tree until xmas??

Well it is definately too late. If it gets really dry it will also be a fire hazard. I find you really need to be careful where you purchase your tree because it does make a difference. I heard using sprite also helps keep it fresh and looking good.

You may have let the water levels fall too low and the cut has sealed over. You need to take the tree down and cut 1/2 an inch (straight cut) off the bottom in order for it to come back. Your tree stand should hold about 1 gallon of water to be effective.
