This morning, Sasha Baron Cohen was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in his controversial movie, 'Borat'.

Some people have argued that this movie is anti-American, others have argued that this movie reflects Americans in their current state.

Do you agree or disagree with this nomination, and why or why not?

Obviously, there is no right or wrong answer, but the best-supported response will earn 10 points.

Look at how much money that movie made. Now look at the actual substance of the movie...it's all him, theres nothing fancy about it...it's basically him making people laugh. He deserves the nomination more than anyone, because throw another actor in that role and that project is gettin scrapped pretty quickly.

He did his job, which is making people laugh. Now give him the award.

Last year the 360 Mafia won an Academy Award.
Now a Golden Globe nomination for Sasha Baron Cohen?

These awards have officially lost ALL credibility.

His nomination for best ACTOR is not controversial.

He's definately an awesome actor...especially on his television show...you wouldn't think that it was the same actor playing all of those different roles.

It shouldn't matter if the movie was anti-American, anti-government, or anti-people!!! It doesn't mean he wasn't a great actor in it.

Okay, I saw that movie, and yes, it was hilarious, but honestly, i dont think he needs a golden globe for it, do you? I mean last year was bad enough when Three Six mafia won a freakin academy award, no disrespect but hello!!! Theres a man named Martin Scorsese who hasnt won crap...and he deserves it! Now i dont know about you, but if that Borat guy wins any award of such honor, I will be insulted.

I don't think it's anti-American. The movie was funny in parts, but there were times when it went so overboard it ceased being funny.

I do disagree with the nomination though. I do not think it was award-worthy acting.
