Is it because she doesn't wash? or maybe she has an infection?
Does she see her ob/gyn regularly?
If it smells like fish, that usually because she is expelling semen. A woman who hasn't had sex usually doesn't have an odor.
If it smells kind of like a mild trash can, that's most likely a bacterial infection, usually caused by an imbalance in the vaginal Eco system. Or it could be a std.
If it smells like b.o. then she just needs to wash that thang.
And be sure that she is wiping from front to back and not the other way. I can't believe how many people wipe from back to front pulling all that anal bacteria into or onto their genitals. Men included!
AND WOMEN SHOULD NOT DOUCHE!!!!!! YOUR VAGINA IS SELF CLEANING SO LONG AS YOU DON'T HAVE AN INFECTION OF SOME SORT. DOUCHING ONLY CAUSES IMBALANCES AND YOUR VAGINA MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CLEAN ITSELF, CAUSING YOU TO GET YET ANOTHER INFECTION.

Suggest that you take a shower together, and wash each other, before bed. Tell her you think it sounds like fun, and you'd like to try it for foreplay one time. You get to wash her, she gets to wash you. You'd know that she was clean, and any odor was removed. The bonus is that it really is fun foreplay to get you both in the mood.
If you think she may have a problem, then ask her about when was the last time she went to her ob/gyn. If it's been close to a year (or more) then set up an appointment for her. Just tell her that you read/heard something about women's health (make up whatever you want), and are concerned about her. A through exam will find any problems, and the doctor will suggest things to help her. Even if it's just poor hygiene, let the doctor be the one to break the news to her.
Just remember that some odor is natural, and shouldn't be removed or covered with fragrances and things, which can cause infections.

Some smell is natural in a woman's genitalia. However, is the smell is pugnant then she can either have a bacterial infection or a yeast infection, or both.
If it's a bacterial infection, then it smells like tuna.
If it's a yeast infection, it woud smell like beer.
There are several over the counter meds that she could apply to help the situation, but if she has an infection, the this stuff won't help.
Norforms have vaginal suppositories that helps with the smell.
Douches (Such as Summers eve) contains a solution with vinegar that neutralizes odor. This is gentle and helps, but if she has a yeast infection, it will make things worse.
There are feminine powders, feminine deodorants, creams and washes that help control odors.
She needs to avoid taking baths (bubble bath, bath oils and bath salts in there are BAD bad bad for a woman's normal pH level).
Good higyene is essential, antibacterial soap such as Dial or Summers Eve gentle feminine wash helps with that. Some creamy moisturizer soaps (such as Dove) may allow moisture down there and worsen the problem.
She has to start using confortable plain cotton undies, instead of nylon or poliester blend ones. Sweat and moisture down there makes it a playgrond for bacteria to grow. She can also dry down ther with a blow dryer on low setting to make sure that is dry. Ironing yoru undies before put them on also helps get the moisture out and keep it dry,
If she has a bacterial infection, she should go to the doctor,. A prescription of oral antibiotics, and a combination of prescription vaginal creams will clear that out in about a week, depending of how severe it is. The odor will go away, but she will have to stick with the cotton underwear and confortable clothes. Too tight pants or poliester pants make the problem worse.
Some birth control makes women prone to smell and infection. IUDs (intra uterine dispositives) will make it more likely for it to smell. This is expected and normal, but if it's bothering you, then maybe she needs to consider other types of birth control.
Also, if you suffer from Jock's itch, then you will continue to infect her trowing her Ph levels wild. If this is the case, you would ve to be treated too, and you shoudl adress this as a couple. As you will continue to infect each other and you will see no end to this.
You can approach her by telling her that you are concerned about her and that because you love her and enjoy her so mych, you would like to encourage her to take care of the problem and that you will go with her to show support and love.
I hope this helps ( I tried to give you as much information as I could, sorry that it's so long)
Good luck

all women have some type of smell. it is used to stimulate her partner. if the smell is too intense simply take a bath with her and help each other wash each others genitals. have all the lights off with lots of candles, leave flower petals leading to the bathroom, and already have the bath drawn. and if that doesn't work and the smell is still overwhelming and be comforting. she's your wife, if you can have sex with her then you should be able to talk with her about the smell if it's that strong

What do u mean? They are supposed to have some smell. If it is some kind of infection she can go to the doctor. But if it's not then it's just you being a wimp instead of a man. And you're making her feel bad for something that's not even wrong will not help you at all.

Having dealt with this problem and trying many unsuccessfully not in your face methods, I gift wrapped a can of deodorant specifically targeted for the womens genitals and this worked. She got the message, and she was unaware of the problem.

Take her to a gynecologist if its an infection the doctor will tell her, if its poor hygiene the doctor will tell her so either way its a solution to the problem without you having to personally go to her yourself and tell her, And when taking her, do it in a nice way tell her that your concerned or something like that

If there is an odor right after she bathes, then she might have an infection. Which means she needs to go to the doctor. So you should ask her if she has noticed an odor.

She may have a yeast infection, you should have her go to her doctor, if that isn't it, suggest taking a nice bath together and wash each other, also suggest she use a douche. If you suggest it in a way, using your words wisely, she shouldn't take offense.

Well, first, let me ask you this...does she shave? I think that pubic hair is the one major reason for odor...so if she does not shave, talk to her and persuade her to try shaving. Then, be sure she is washing herself. To do this, get in the shower with her and seductively wash her body...but wash her whole body not just down there.
If these things don't work, then I would suggest asking your Physician.
Good luck
