I don't do any off road. Mostly highway, but a lot of snow and ice.

The Bridgestone Dueler AT REVO (not the standard Dueler AT) is the best traction tire on the market, without question. Much better than the aforementioned Michelin. I have confirmed this personally on a wet test track with identically prepared Chevy Blazers and a license to go nuts. The Bridgestones are quite too.

On a 1-ton truck though if you do a lot of heavy hauling (which you probably do) the REVO's are prone to uneven wear. Rotate and check alignment frequently.

If you do a lot of heavy hauling I would suggest a "commercial" use tire like the Firestone Transforce HT or AT. They can take a lot of abuse and still wear well.
