I think the best thing to do would be to take a self-defense class. The city might offer them, or a local community college, or even a health club.
You learn there how to not get attacked in the first place! Things like, walking with confidence, even if you're lost; being aware of everyone around you, looking around once in a while; looking like you're going to put up a fight if anyone attacks you, and that's the best prevention!
They'll also teach you a few key moves that are simple, don't require a lot of strength but could buy you just enough time to run and scream. They'll also offer advice on various methods of personal protection - anything from those devices to pepper spray to your keys.
The classes are free or cheap, and just a few hours' instruction can make a huge difference for you. I took one when I moved to Los Angeles and I was glad every day that I did.

The Best form of defence for a Woman - may sound sick & down right silly - but these days very effective... If you ever come across anyone like the sick weirdo who is terrorising the Women in Ipswich.. Offer him Oral Sex (BJ) you must try and stay calm.. and once you get your Teeth anywhere near him Bite as hard as you can .and dont stop Biting , till he is disabled and then Run & Scream.. It is all well having a tracker on your mobile - but it could take a few hours for it to be located - by then ..who dreads to think.

I wouldn't rely on all of those gadgets and depend on the police to come and save me. Get a gun legally. Go out and take some target practices. Purchase a bazooka if you have to. Having a gun in my garter belt always make me feel safer. Or 2nd best thing would be self defense classes. There are lots of ways to protect yourself. Body guards if you have the money to pay them. But to me there is nothing like the good old firearms.

Go to the Sheriff's office and get a pistol permit. Then you can legally carry a 45 concealed. That's what I do. Twice in the past I have been attacked by thugs and robbers. I lost both times, they got away, I suffered. Now I pack heat.
Usually when a would be attacker sees a big gun-they run away. I always carry a gun in public. When I feel threatened, I allow my gun to be visable.

they are of of the wrong theory that the police will preserve them. they are unwilling to settle for a courtroom determination that the police have not any accountability to guard one against a non-violent or violent crime except they take place to be reachable to evade it. The courtroom ruled that police departments are in uncomplicated terms required to "attempt" to unravel crimes, not ward off them. it quite is exciting to observe that the main crime-ridden and violent cities in out united states, which comprise Milwaukee, Washington D.C., enormous apple city, New Orleans, Detroit, Chicago, and so on. are all run with the help of extremely Left Democrats..
