Every animal is strong in its dominion. Outside of it, it is weak.

I don't think that any nimal represents weakness since they all are strong in different ways, even a worm with such a bland body can open his way through the dirt.

I think it is probably the lamb, from a Christian point of view. It seems to me that in the religious paintings the lamb represents the common folk who needed to be saved by Jesus.
