I've downloaded Windows media player, I can hear the audio from the news stories but I cant see the video. It buffers and plays and my screen remains black. It worked once before. Is there a setting I need to change?

Ahhh. I've tried this one, I believe the BBC like you to download Real Time player I have quicktime and the microsoft one on my PC. Fortuantely I can watch most Google videos on them. But not the Newsflashes.
I feel I already have one too many installed on the PC oh and I think you have to pay for it, you could check though.

You need flash player to view most of these videos and in some cases it might be Quicktime. Both of these are available from the following websites:

Flashplayer:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Quicktime:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

after downloading and installing restart your Windoze PC and then visit the same websites. Everything should work now.

depends on the format of the video...you may need a codec, or a different player or plugin...go to the site and usually it will say what format the files are what you need to play them.....and if its a news feed type of page they will almost always have a link to get the program somewhere on the page.
