other than dry cobalt chloride test paper( blue to pink if water is present), what kind of paper(s) can test whether the sample contain water?

Litmus paper is used to test the acidity/alkilinity of the water.

u can test on moist universal indicator paper, it will turn green. Cobalt is good because it is an obvious change.
