Because the name "football" sounds better than "you-can't-kick-it-only-pick- it-up-and-run ball".

Any ballcarrier may dropkick a football at any time in real football here in America.

But who would want to. How long is going to take for you guys to figure out you can pick the ball up and run with it?

You guys can play communist kickball and call it football if you want.

Use your hands to cry like a little girl in an effort to get a penalty. Who knew moaning on the ground like a sick goat would progress your team's efforts? Great sport.

If that doesn't work you can always punch somebody and call them a monkey because the color of their skin offends you.

Why do you care?

You kick the ball to start the game, at most changes of the ball's possession, after a score and in order to score.

Many games this last couple of weeks were won or lost by the skills of the teams' kickers.

If it continues to bother you, I'd suggest just don't think about it.

because the history of the sport.
it use to be like rugby we use to use our feet only to progress the ball forward, but as time went on we introduced an idea called the forward pass. and also back then field goals were worth alot of points (at one point it was more points) than a touchdown. but TDs became more points, thus it was more desireable to try to get a TD instead of a Field Goal.

If you dont understand the game, dont try to question it.

a KICKER? KICKOFFS? Game winning KICK?
How can you say they dont kick it???

You sound like a jackass.

Don't worry about what it's called. Just because the greatest sport in the world is played in the great USA, there's no need to be a jealous, racist loser

I'm tired of this question.
Just ignore "American football" and focus on your beloved "football", "futbol", etc
