I wait it out until I have a better focus on what I'm trying to accomplish. I'll do some research if I'm stuck technically or spend days doing mental sketches if I'm stuck compositionalIy, etc. usually have two or three projects going at once so I can rotate and keep things fresh. I also think working in other mediums helps break up the confusion and any monotony. Write, draw, play music, etc.

This sounds stupid but I get away for a while and change my scenery even get hammered then go back to my work with an attitude adjustment. Of course there are some projects ,sometimes ,that are destined to remain unfinished..for one reason or the other. I have a closet full of work that just didn't turn out the way I wanted.

I walk away from the project entirely until I feel inspired to finish it. Sometimes I hit a block or sometimes I just lack motivation. The motivation comes back quickly, but the block doesn't always lift right away.

I usually find inspiration... when you feel you are distracted and seem to lost the urge of doing something it is better to go around explore your sorounding and just observe... look for inspirations may it be small incident things or person it will help you ease the frustrations and would help you continue on with your work ^^,

Try working on two projects, then when you hit the wall you can change projects.
