Take 23 all the way to Asheville, NC. It's all 4-lane now. From Asheville take I-26 to Columbia, SC. Then take I-20 to Florence, SC, then 501 to Myrtle Beach.

I'm actually from Myrtle Beach. The quickest way honestly is flying. There is no direct highway from Ohio to here. I know either travelzoo.com or spiritair.com are running awesome deals right now. (I'm from Cleveland area originally) and you can pick up a roundtrip ticket for $200
