I bought a dishwasher the other day and when it arrived it seems to plumb it in I need something called a spigot. I've tried Homebase and Wicks, but they didn't seem to have one. Where can I get one, or is there something else I can use?

Go back to home base and look for a u bend undersink waste trap with a side entry spigot on it this looks like a little protruding pipe sticking out of the side with a little red cap on it you replace your existing waste trap under sink and when fitted you remove the red cap and push the hose from the dishwasher onto it , i would also use a jubilee clip on hose for extra security.

If you are speaking of the drain, you need a dishwasher tailpiece that is piped between the sink and trap, the drain hose from the dishwasher is clamped to the outlet. If you are speaking of the water supply, which is generally the spigot, you can use a standard garden hose valve piped to the water supply and connect a braided steel dishwasher hose to the appliance, to be blunt, it doesn't seem that you have the knowledge to do this. A decent handyman could do this for you. Good Luck!

A spigot is a faucet or a water spout. If there is not one available for the dishwasher to plug into, you will need a plumber to install one.

Take your installation sheet with you to any hardware store, or to a building center, like Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, and ask for help in the plumbing department.

Don't leave until you're satisfied with your purchase and your answers.
