It's the Day after my Birthday. Last Night, it occurred to me that I could have gotten a free meal...?
Now, I don't know why, but I remembered seeing this sign, or commercial or something.
I have never done this before, and probably never will...
But here's the question part... How, exactly does one go about asking for a free meal? Have you ever done it? Can you get it to go? Who offers free meals on your birthday?
I am just curious...

First and foremost, Happy Birthday dear!Mine is on the 19th! I remember getting free booze at the strip joint, and a free Big Mac at McDonalds...But that's like more than 12 years ago...I didn't even remember about this unwritten law! You just show your driver's liscence and say something like : do I have any priviliges today, It's my birthday...Usually works.

I always do! But I just figure it's my familys cheap way to not pay for my meal on my birthday. Most places will, but you need a ID to prove it really is your birthday. Just ask and see. Sometimes you won't get a meal but they bring you a cake and sing to you!

well there are some clubs or whatever that will give a free meal to their members on their birthdays.. but it just reminds me of what a former boss of mine used to say - theres no such thing as a free meal - coz somewhere, somehow - SOMEBODY has paid for it.. heheheheeh..
Happy Belated Birthday..

At various night clubs, I'd ask the DJ for a request as it was my birthday and sometimes I'd get a bottle of wine or Sekt.

Just ask them.
Yes,at the "Y".
I don't think you can get it to go.
Hopefully the opposite sex.
Maybe you could give some birthday boy a "free" meal sometime.

Yep, my friend would always "kidnap" me at an ungodly hour on my birthday and take me to Denny's for my free meal. That was years ago - I don't think they do that anymore.
