You could get some fancy nonalcoholic drinks, like sparkling cider, to toast in the New Year. Maybe make some of your favorite snacks as well, or order in Chinese food.
Instead of watching the same old New Year's specials, you two could have a movie marathon. Maybe pick your top five favorite films from the past year.
Hopefully this helps, usually I end up babysitting on New Year's Eve.

Each can bring ingredients to a great recipe and you guys can cook and eat and save dessert for closer to midnight to keep things spaced out. Watch all the festivities on ABC which has the best coverage for New Year festivities. Have a happy New Year!!!!
