Well, recurring or repetitive dreams come when you have some unresolved issues. In your case, something must have happened in your childhood that caused the dream stay in your mind for a while. It could be deal to insecurity, fear or other effects.

Tidal wave = changes, shock, surprise.

Having tidal wave in your dream could symbolize something you have viewed and experienced that shocked you and it may be hard for you to accept.

Snakes = fear, sex, temptation

In most cases, snakes mean fear. They bite you because you subconsciously are vulnerable and giving up in confidence. They don't because sometimes you struggle. You projected snakes in your dream because they are fear in your mind or perhaps some time ago, you read a book or watched TV and that creature lurked into your mind and caused you think of it when it comes to fear

To stop those things, you must 1. accept changes, face reality, fight fear with fear, learn to overcome any obstacles in life.

recurring dreams are your brain's way of tellin you there is something important you need to take care of. dreams are symbollic represendations of your mind trying to make sense of its experiences. sometimes they reflect your mental state, and if there is a strong imbalance, your brain tries to let you know through dreams.

the tidal wave could mean that you feel overwhelmed with a decision, or a situation, you feel almost unable to do something about it and the stress is causing you to have those dreams. try to not worry so much to help ease your mind.

as for the snakes, you are clearly afraid of something. snakes usually represent fear in a dream. maybe not a fear of snakes, but you are definately very afraid of something in your life, and you are letting it control you, when the snakes bite you.

now symbols in dreams mean different things for different people, but this is a very general interpretation. it would be best to tell someone who is close to you so they may be able to more accurately tell you what they might mean. don't be afraid, be strong
