1. The Killers 1. Green Day
2. Snow Patrol 2. Red Hot Chilli Peppers
3. Muse 3. Aerosmith
4. Oasis 4. Fall Out Boy
5. Coldplay 5. Scissor Sisters

(GB on the left, USA on the right).
Wow, that was tough!
Choosing a winner is hard!

I'd have to go for GB overall because I think the bands here have more to differentiate themselves from each.

But then again I do absolutely love Green Day!

Winner - GB!

There's a ton of great bands around now, but *of all time* means you have to take historical context and importance into account. Sooo, in more or less chronological order:-

UK

Beatles
Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin
The Smiths
Radiohead

USA

Bob Dylan
Grateful Dead
Talking Heads
Phish
Flaming Lips

Winner - it's a tough call, the UK has the bands of the most historical importance (though Dylan is a biggie) but I have to go USA because of the good old Grateful Dead, AND they have Tenacious D - The Greatest Band In The World, which clinches the deal.

Five (really) random groups from each country

GB

1. Girls Aloud
2. Sugababes
3. McFly
4. Atomic Kitten
5. Queen

USA

1. Aerosmith
2. Pussycat Dolls
3. Green Day
4. Sum 41
5. Blink 182

(Guess which era my music is stuck in :P)

Winner - has got to be GB

(To be honest, GB usually has the best groups. USA usually has the best solo artists.)
