Gullible - there is a certain innocence that goes along with being gullible. And less stress and worry. Paranoids have trouble coping.

As gullible, you are very likely to take more risks in life, financially, physically and anything else. These risks could very well lead to the person's death one day. Dared to do something like jumping off a bridge or bunjee-jumping with a thin cord. Although, if being gullible is this person's only flaw, that does not mean he isn't healthy. The person could be very happy and content with life.

Now as for the paranoid person, they are mentally more unstable and unhealthy. Now, this person will refrain from taking risks suggested by others because they will believe it's all a con. Sometimes it is. This will prevent them from taking those high risks which could jeopardize their life. Although, being mentally unstable, even if the person lives to an old age with their paranoia, they will literally go insane. I don't think someone so mentally unstable could live naturally very long anyways.

That's my insight on things, take it for what you want.

My bet is on the paranoid person surviving longer. Both are unhealthly the gullible and the paranoid.

Life is full of risks, but the chances of a particular disaster are mostly miniscule. On a basic level, we're unaware of most of them, but tend to overestimate the risks of those of which we become aware. That's why the human race has survived. Nobody, of course, can be totally aware or totally accurate in his assessment of risks, but since the overall risk total normally is less than the perceived risk, the optimist tends to be the winner, and if that is a concious choice, a much happier winner, and a better loser.

Gullible would live longer. Paranoid's stress level will cause a heart attack or stroke.

the paranoid person will live longer b/c their questioning, doubting nature will keep them getting into bad situations. they may not be a whole lot of fun to be around but you probably won't hear them say "gee, it sounded like such a sure thing!" in their lifetime. there's no bigger waste than to be a naive, trusting foolish person.
