So I decided on a whim to cook a romantic dinner last night, which I got the ingredients the night before.

I started out with a French St. Andre Cheese with Rosemary Parmesan cheese crackers. The dinner consisted of garlic mash potatoes, which I make from scratch -potatoes, milk, butter, roasted garlic cloves, chives, and pepper…I topped it off with a salmon filet baked and slightly broiled with butter, mushrooms, canned artichoke hearts, lemon, and dashes of seafood seasoning…of course I had a Napa Valley Chardonnay. Of course it was by candle light while the kids watched a movie in the other room with their McDonnalds.

I finished with my Derby Pie and whip cream (chocolate on the bottom, and a layer on top with eggs, sugar, vanilla, flour, walnuts) – email me if you want receipe. I will stop here and not tell the what happened later last night..LOL

Sorry ladies, I am not for rent but if any of my "special friends" get their a s s here, we will see what I could cook up...

awww thats gorgeous ...!! very romantic...

you know what you can try next time ...

put chocolates in a heart shape on the ground ... and you sit in the middle in sexy gear ... and a couple of candles lit around the place ...

Lucky her! I don't eat any of that kind of stuff except for maybe the desserts. Seldom drink wine, I go for the Crown (Royal that is) or a Michelob beer and Bloody Mary not to leave out Top shelf Margaritas. But let me think here: It's been awhile because I've gotten quite tired of waiting on him hand and foot and all I get is a "Thank You" and a five minute lay if that long. Damn! I must be good! lmao.

Fried Pork Chops (breaded)
Mash potatoes (not instant - the boil 'em, smush 'em kind)
Macaroni & Cheese (the oven baked kind)
Pinto Beans
Biscuits
Bud Light (of course I didn't make it but I bought it)

You are probably thinkin "That stuff is bad for you" but I like the country/soul-food cooking (that effin' instant frozen stick me right in the oven SHlT sucks a s s!)

But like they say, you only live once - make it something to remember.

Hey! Glad to see you are back!

The last time I made a romantic dinner for my husband I made Thai food. Shrimp Tom Ka soup, Shrimp fried Jasmine rice, and me for dessert. It was great. I haven't made that in a while. They don't sell Lemongrass around here anymore so I can't make it till I find some. I better get looking, Thai food sounds so good right now!

Wow! Your impressive! You have a lucky husband! Mine would be happy if I did that! I cook, but not like that. I feel it doesn't matter as much what you make for the romantic dinner, its the presentation. Do you agree?
