First of all, it doesn't "rub at their butthole all day." It doesn't do anything. And the first person's correct. The main reason most women wear them is because they don't show a panty line. But not only that, if you're wearing pants, they're just more comfortable.

I like pantie lines under tight jeans.

We wear it coz its comfortable, its less restricting and hides the panty line and it doesn't rub anywhere.

They don't want to wear panties thats all...they feel sexier with nothing on and it gives quick access as well for the better.
