Yes, blood tests are usually accurate. Even though HPT are 99% accutate that doesn't mean because you had a negative result that you are not pregnant. I took a HPT about 4 months ago and it said it was negative but, I told my husband that I was shocked because I generally know my body and I just felt different. I waited 3 more days and it was still negative. I still didn't want to come to terms with that so, I waited one more week and went and bought the digital HPT and took that and it said pregant. I waited til the morning to take the other one since there were two of them and I got the same results. I was still confused because I had 2 negatives and 2 possitives. I bought another one but just a regular one that you get a line or nothing and took that . When I took that it showed an extremely faint pink line. I mean it was so faint that you had to turn the test just right to actually see it. Now I am wondering what was going on.I Took it again the next morning with the first urine and it was there but faint not as faint as before but faint. I went to the Dr. and he sent me for an ultrasound and they said that they didn't see anything there at all not even a yolk sak. .Turns out that I was pregnant but, I was only 3 weeks along and you don't see anything that early. I am now 20 weeks. If you feel that the test is wrong then you should wait a week or so and test yourself again because a mother usually knows. Good luck to you.

Yes blood test for pregnancy are 100% right. If you get one taken at a doctors office or hospital, you can bet that if your pregnant it will show up on the blood test results. Home test are usually pretty accurate. If you have any doubt go to the doctor or clinic and double check. Good luck!

It depends how far gone you think you are. Sometimes a home pregnancy kit doesn't identify the pregnancy hormone, as some women develop it later than others. If you have other signs of pregnancy, such as tender breasts, tiredness, trapped wind, etc etc, then you probably are pregnant. Go to your Doctor and aske for a blood test. They don't tend to test women these days, but if you request it they will do.

a blood test would be accurate but the longer you are pregnant for (up to about 12 weeks) the levels of hormone in your urine that show up on pos result increase, so if you leave it a few days and try again, you might get a positive result. Either than or you'll get your period so you'll know either way x

Blood tests are more accurate than home tests because in urine the hormone can become diluted, it cannot in blood. Also some women next pass the hormone into their urine, but it would show up in blood.

It's pretty much the most accurate test you've got. Go and get it done, then your mind is put more to rest than it is now.
It's still not 100% accurate though.

For the most part yes, but an ultrasound is usually the one thing that is accurate.

It depends when it is taken. i have read that it has to be done at least 10 days past ovulation and it is 99% accurate

YES IT IS ACCURATE, BUT THEM HOME TESTS ARE VERY GOOD TOO ,IF YOU ARE USING IT RIGHT. YOU PROPERLY AREN'T PREGNANT. YOU CAN GET THE SYMPTOMS,IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FALL PREGNANT, I DID WHEN I WAS TRYING TO , AS SOON AS I WAS A WEEK LATE I WOULD CONVINCE MYSELF I WAS PREGNANT. I SPENT A FORTUNE ON THEM HOME KIT'S, BUT THEY WERE ALWAYS CORRECT.
