Does anyone else sometimes feel like Jim Careys character in the truman show, I suppose the opposite to a naccasist, who would detest the possibility of ever having the world evolve around themselves?

By predicting it and steering clear of it. But if you truly want to avoid predictability, I think you should do something other than worrying about predictability or about combatting it. Doing so would be similar to spending life thinking about how to combat death - a waste of resources. The irony is that you are wasting time alive to try to avoid death. Likewise in the effort to combat predictability, you are foreclosing the possibility of doing something new and moving in novel directions in the futile effort to infuse novelty into the old, inert, and routine.

Spice up your life..... meet a new person, and keep it a secret, sneaking about is so much fun. Go on random nights out, with no planing, just arrange it with a buddy an hour before. Best nights out are never planned. Watch different kinds of films, things you would never normally watch. Its the little things that make life more exciting. We need a certain amount of predictability, along with some randomness.

Surely the concept of needing to combat it has become predictable.

No
See the unpredictable more clearly......
Boring same day, up, commute, same people same work, commute, home, eat, go out maybe, sex if lucky, snore all predictable.
But in that predictability is an infinity of unpredictability starting from how you feel in the morning. How your family feels, how your commute goes what you do different etc etc but if your focus is predictable.......

predictability is a desirable trait. it brings stability to the lives of those around you as well as your own. To break it up, go with your impulses every once in a while & live it up. (whatever that may mean to you.) Take off for a weekend. Call in sick from the beach. whatever.

(Never saw the Truman Show so I can't comment on that aspect of your question.)

Never. For me, each day is memorable for different ways. I believe that thoughts and beliefs create reality. The beliefs you habitually use are what create your habitual realities. If like is getting dull and predictable, it is because you are thinking the same 'static' thoughts over and over again. Think different thoughts, visualise different things and use your imagination. Life then becomes a LOT MORE interesting........

You sound like a true rebel at heart. Go against the flow, be original, do your own thing, and everyone else can get stuffed.

I'm the same.

I hate cookie-cutter society where people try to fit into a specific 'ideal' mould.

Stick with being yourself, you won't go wrong.

Spontaneity would solve predictability, but it would turn into uniqueness which means that in some sort of way the world would evolve around that person, but it would only be his or her own world.

But maybe your unpredictability is anticipated - as in, it is anticipated that you want to combat predictability? (in reference to The Truman Show theory)

This leads on to whether we are predestined to make the choices that we make -- is there an inner personality that drives all our actions and choices or do we react to circumstances and allow external influences to drive our decision making. Does the world revolve around them, or do they revolve around the world?
Oh dear Oh dear oh dear. Do you know anyone who is unpredictable? The fact they are labeled as such means they are predictably unpredictable. Oh dear Oh dear.....
