Yes - & it's usually the one thing I can never find again!!! Best tip is to pretend you're looking for something else, then the thing you're looking for will show up.

My engagement ring on the day I was moving house (250 miles away). But after a month it just appeared on the floor by a window in my new house. and to this day i have no idea how it got there but was really pleased. Also i left it in a train toilet when i went to wash my hands and a few minutes later and woman passenger appeared with it and asked if it was mine. The kindness of strangers never ceases to amaze me.

About a year after my wedding I lost my wedding ring. I took it off when washing my hands at a rest room and forgot to put it back on - remembered 500km down the road. Tried to phone to get it back but of course it was GONE! My hubby was not impressed but he forgave me after a while. He bought me another one but it's not the same :-(.

yes........being in the other side of the world i forgot my jacket with the passport in one pocket. When i realized it was more than 30 minutes from that and i have lost the hope to find them
I went back, and i found both things as i have left them, inside a phone cabin in the street.
many pple used that cabin,,,,,,but no one took my things.
That was in Jounieh...l

i lost my first ever cell phone/ mobile phone.
my parents were furious when they found out. and i got an allowance cut of 20 bucks (from 30) per week.
