My question is: Does that mean in life that there is good and bad in everything?

No, it is a way of looking at life. If you see the glass as half empty, then they say that you are pessimistic and that you see the worse half of things. They say this because you are looking at what you have lost already, not that you have half of the glass still to drink. On the other end if you see the glass as half full, then you are an optimist. These people see the glass and there is half of it and half isn't bad and it's "half full". It's pretty much a way to see which point of view someone has on the world.

This is just a saying on how certain peoples outlook is on life it self and it can also pertain to certain situations. I'm from Texas so when the Houston Texans (which are garbage) Lose a game like usual I say "Another Loss for the Stupid Texans." This is the glass half empty point of view. However, I know some people who LOVE the Texans and when the Texans Lose a game the say, "They still have a a few games to go lets see if they can pick it up." This would be the glass is half full point of view. Its not some much good and bad but just how you see things.

No, it pertains to whether you are an optimist or pessimist. The optimist sees the glass 1/2 full. He's optimistic about life. The pessimist sees the glass 1/2 empty. He's pessimistic about life. It all depends on how you look at life.

Another way to look at it... If you see something you want to buy and it costs $20.00. You look in your wallet and you only have $10.00. Do you walk away thinking you can't get what you want? Your glass is 1/2 empty. Or do you find a way to earn the extra money that you need to come back and get it another day? Your glass is 1/2 full. Again a pessimist would walk away mad because he does not have the money and gives up on it, but the optimist would look at it in the opposite way and would find a way to earn the money needed to fulfill his/her goal.

BE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT LIFE. YOU'LL FULFILL YOUR DREAMS!!!
