Usually heard in gangster movies - when somebody snarls (what sounds to me like) "Capish" in menacing tones...
I've checked Italian dictionaries but can't seem to find the word - probably because I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SPELL IT...!!!

If you say:
"Capisci ?" = Understand?
"Capisco !" or "Ho capito!" = I see / I understand.
But is mispronounced intentionally as "Capice" because in South Italy people speak with a different accent or speak a different variation (dialect).

It is capisce. The sc in this case makes a sh sound. It is from the verb capiscere, or to understand. Most Italian words end with a vowel, thoug it is often not pronouncedin everyday speech.
