Parents alway brainwash their kids to tell the truth to them but not to others. It's a do as I say but not as I do type of relationship. In the end we all learn that honesty is seldom the best policy because honesty can get you in a lot of trouble. The best policy is to learn how to be a convincing liar so that when the truth hurts others you can lie without being detected.

YES always ... as young as i can remember ... but funny enough why is it every time id tell the truth to something bad .. id get in trouble?! yup..
but ive realised through the years that they are right ... in the end .. honesty is the best policy and i thank them for raising me right.

No, they taught me not to lie about major stuff, but also to practice discretion, because being too honest can hurt people's feelings! Imagine we all went around telling people exactly what we thought all the time....
