Start looking for a new car, if it takes them that long to fix a cd, you can only imagine how long a real problem will take....

reject the vehicle as not fit for the purpose, preferbaly by letter and phone, but defiantely by letter, inform the supplier that it no longer your vehicle.. its theirs, inform any credit company of the position and why you regard the car as unfit.
suggest that the garage has 7 days to find a replacement
suggest that the garage should make good any losses incurred by you necuase of their inability to supply goods fit for purpose (that should include any bus, taxi, train or whatever + cost & time to chase repiars, any finance/ credit charges + insurance incurred whilst the verhicle was off the road and unusable.
bear in mind you will have to make an allowance for any costs that you sould have incurred had you had the car (eg cost of fuel... if you racked up 100 miles of taxi fares then you should make allowance for 100 miles of fuel....)
Im not sure if a fualty CD player is grounds for a 'not fit for purpose' claim but its worht a try
if its a second hand car, then Id guess they are not going to do anything.. as they will look on it as money lost. if its a new car then the problem is going to be with tthe manufacturer admitting liability

Please remember audio parts are not made by the manufacture of the car. Most time Clarion, Valieo, and Panasonic. And they are the lowest price things that can be installed. My best advice is go to Crutchfield.com and call a dealer near you adapter kit and you will have better radio CD satellite and MP-3 input or I-pod interface. Don't let what is in the dash worry you about the car.

'Phone the garage where you bought it and ask for the managing directors name and fax number, they will probably ask why you want it, tell them you are unhappy with the service and you want your money back as the car you bought had a c.d player and that is one of the reasons you picked that particular fiesta and as they have not kept their part of the agreement then you want your full money back, if you got a bank loan for the car complain to the car loan section and tell the garage this also, that should panic them.I know complaining to the M.D works as I have done it twice.
Good luck

If they try to say it's a manufacturer's problem, that's their problem, not yours. You bought the car from them and they're responsible.
Like st abbs says, get formal with the boss and say you're not happy with their indolence. You require your car and you require it now. You've given them more than enough time. Speak to Trading Standards too. And Ford Britain. Go for 'em!
